How Do You Know Your UGGs Fit?

UGG Classic Mini

UGGs have been around for years, but thanks to social media and celebrity sightings, they’re currently taking the world by storm. Whether you’re new to the cozy footwear and loungewear or a longtime, loyal wearer, there might still be some things you don’t know about UGGs.

If you’re looking to get your first pair, you might be worried about sizing. If you’re ordering them online, remember that Classic UGGs run a bit big – if you wear a half size, size down. If you wear a full size, stick with that – you can always try a smaller size if you need to. The Fashion styles and Rain boots are true to size so go with your regular size.

Once you’ve secured your new pair and you try them on, you might find that they feel a bit snug – that’s fine! The lining (did we mention that every pair is responsibly made with ethically-sourced sheepskin, leathers, suede, wool, down, cotton, or hemp?) is designed to flatten out and mold to your feet the longer you wear them. However, if they’re uncomfortably tight, it might be a good idea to size up. We recommend testing them out indoors before wearing them outside.

UGGs aren’t orthotic shoes, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t good for your feet. The shoe will mold to your feet as you wear them, shaping to the contour of your feet to ensure you get the arch support you need whether you’re wearing them around the house, out at the grocery store, or even for a night out (who says you can’t be comfortable on the town?).

And finally, we come to the age-old question – can you wear socks with your UGGs? The short answer is, of course, yes, you can do whatever you want! However, UGG classic footwear was first introduced as a cozy option for surfers to slip into after hitting the potentially-frigid waves. With that in mind, your UGG classic footwear is, technically, meant to be worn barefoot, just like our surfing elders would have wanted.
