Arahi 7 Review

Arahi 7 Review
Aaron Macaraeg

Looking for a new go-to sneaker? Hoka’s Arahi 7 just dropped, and it might be our new favorite shoe. These surprisingly-light stability sneakers aren’t like any others on the market. The biggest upgrade from the Arahi 6 is the new upper which we think not only looks better but also adds some great tech and comfort features. The lacing and zonally engineered, flat-knit upper allow your foot to stay down in the middle while having extra room in the toe box, creating a comfortable step. The lacing is also more adaptable with narrow feet, so they’re comfortable for all foot types. If you have a wider foot, we would suggest trying the Wide width since the upper can feel a bit more narrow, especially for longer distances.

If you’re a moderate runner who needs additional stability, these are the perfect shoes for you. The midsole is still highly cushioned, but slightly firmer and won’t have that sinking soft feeling that comes with some running shoes. It’s not bouncy, but the rocker geometry allows for a perfect stride, and the outsole has great grip and traction for any terrain. The secret behind the stability is a J-Frame support in the midsole. The stability aspect is great for keeping your feet healthy during any activity.

The tongue is plushy and a stretchy dual gusset keeps the tongue from sliding from side to side, meaning you won’t have to stop and adjust every few steps. These sneakers are perfect for people who don’t love that overly cushioned feeling in their running shoes. The overall shape of the shoe helps to promote foot health and keeps you comfortable no matter where your day takes you. So whether you’re a runner, a walker, a pogo-sticker, or anything in between, the Arahi 7 is a great, comfortable way to move through your world.
